The New York State Department of Financial Services has released their approved rate request filings for the 2015 individual and small group health insurance market coverage season. As expected, North Shore LIJ CareConnect is positioned to be one of the strongest health coverage players for the Long Island, Queens, NYC, and Westchester County markets next year. Remember, these numbers represent the overall price increases/reductions for each carrier across all plans being offered. Renewal plan premium changes will vary. As we approach the 2015 open enrollment season for individual-based coverage (which starts on 11/15/14), health insurer’s writing policies in downstate New York will soon be releasing their plan structures and pricing.
